might double its value lol.. bought a silver corsa and the next week every other person in our village had a silver corsa or silver car.. i put some scottish stickers on the back of my car to let others know its me.. now that has made the value go down i hear you say lolThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear

So i had my number plate changed slightly and got a pink/purple border and my name written at the bottom. Only cost £20 for both:D And all above board....as far as i know!
Just to throw in my tuppence worth - anything that strays from the standard lettering on a bog standard license plate is illegal. If you were to get pulled over - you might be lucky and get issued a VDRS (Vehicle Defect Rectification Scheme) along with a HORT/1 (commonly known as a producer) or depending on who pulls you over - you might get a non endorsable fixed penalty ticket. (£30 down the drain and still have to produce your documents...)
I know you do see a few of these here and there but they do get picked up on when police/traffic wardens have time and as this is a money-saving site - I thought I'd let ya know in advance!! :A"Only the dead have seen the end of war" - Plato :silenced:0 -
It hasnt got different lettering on it, and every thing is very basic and subtle. I asked my sisters hubbie who's a policeman and he said it'll be ok. I was very wary of it though and thank you for letting me know just in case

As an investment, some plates have proven to be SUBSTANTIALLY worthy of buying, not so much the ones we all seem to be able to afford, though, unfortunatly!
& mine is VAN580Y, so watch out for the silver/grey remarkably shiny Omega estate, behind you!
& our surname is Budgen, so Mrs V has B11DGN on her Mx5
& on the Jaguar Sovereign she previously had DEB50V (Mrs V is also known as Debbi!)
The plates were all purchased for little money & are obviously worth more to us, than anyone else, of course!!

And....I hope they're spaced correctly........!!!!:j0

The cheapest way to get a personal number plate is to simply change your name by deed poll to match you current registration.(".)0

During an autopsy of an elderly chap in Bognor regis, the pathologists were amaized to find that the deceased had feasted on 3 different acrylic number plates (which may well have been the cause of his untimely departure).
Any way, i bought my number plate from http://www.plates4less.co.uk they were really good and the website is fun. They sell all types of registrations.0
