I don't hate any of you! Sorry if it came across that way but I really didn't mean to "attack" you. No aggression intended.
This is a point I feel very strongly about and you can hopefully see why. There are clearly two sides to Nestlé - the side which showers UK consumers with freebies on messing up with their products, and the evil side which forces developing nations to become reliant on their powdered milk, with tragic consequences.
You asked for a link and here it is: BBC NEWS - Health - 'Putting profit before child health'
Please let me know if this is making more sense to you now that you've read the BBC News article. The matter is not as simple as Nestlé make it seem :mad:0 -
Hi CC,
Thanks for the explaination, it can be difficult in writing to get across your feelings without being misinterpreted at times.
Your issues with the milk powder were clear already, I just thought they were in the wrong place on this thread, especially if you are looking to speak to a wide audience. This type of issue would prob get a lot of interest in DT.
The link is to an article which doesn't really go into detail on the problems in third world countries. It's main gripe with Nestle seems to centre on the USA where drinking water shouldn't be causing probs. I'm going to leave this topic here now, just to say perhaps an article specifically highlighting the probs in countries where clean drinking water is unavailable might help you get others on board.

Didn`t want to start a battle. I was basically just saying how impressed I was with the company. Its my first dealings with them and I was impressed.

Hi All,
The correct pronunciation is due to the accent on the é making it sound like an a - Probably used to be called 'nessils' by some people in the UK who didn't know what the é was any different to an e, and hadn't heard it pronounced on TV/Radio etc!
Cheers
