Legal select with home insurance

My policy included legal cover, which unfortunately I had to take advantage of when my son was seriously injured in a football match, although at the same time was relieved that we were covered for this sort of event and able to initiate a claim. However, when the solicitor looked into the cover provided, they discovered that it only provided a maximum of £25,000 indemnity for personal injuries, which they considered to be very low and therefore would not claim against it as it could leave the client (us in this case) out of pocket. A medical assessment alone could cost up to £10,000.
Thankfully, we've been advised to take out after the event insurance, which offers up to £200,000 indemnity, and are able to proceed with the case.
Before this point, the policy came up for renewal, and in actual fact the premium was quite competitive so I stayed with the same company for home insurance, and obviously made sure the legal cover came with it. Now that I've learnt about the maximum it would pay out in a claim, I need to find out whether this can be increased or I need a new policy altogether (I'm still within the 14 day cooling off period). My question is whether there's a way of specifically searching for home insurance policies where you're able to see what the legal add-on indemnity is, should a claim be made. Or is it just a case of doing the usual search for home insurance on the comparison sites and then checking the Ts and Cs of the legal cover of each individual policy? Many thanks.

There's a bit of circularity with the matter... LE cover will only deal with cases where the lawyer is confident of success. If the case is successful then the costs are covered by the third party. The lawyer has to evaluate the prospects of success all the way through the case and so it's fairly unlikely you get all the way to the end and then lose. As such the limits of liability in LE cover rarely truly comes into play.
Insurers do have different limits, a quick check shows my M&S policy has a £50k limit, Direct Line Select has a £100k
In principle it would be possible for the aggregators to display the limit of liability on LE cover cross sold with Home but they dont as not enough people care and so its going to be leg work to check.
Presumably the solicitors are suggesting you move to conditional funding agreement with the ATE and so they will now get a success fee out of your son's award whereas they wouldn't be getting such under the LE cover.0
