Im trying to add at least 2 new recipes a month to my meal plans and i am getting some great suggestions from you guys! Thank you.
Only added small change to a old fav recipe this month as had already done the plan before deciding to do new recipies.
I had sheperds pie ( family fav) on meal plan, but have found a recipie for same sort of thing adding baked beans, does anyone else add baked bean to your shep/cottage pies?
Just thought its a cheap way of changing a meal.Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
Hello all,
my delivery was twenty minutes late - very annoying. Does anybody think I have justification to ask for delivery charge back?
When my delivery was late (it's only happened once) I was automatically refunded the delivery charge. They also phoned to say it would be late and make sure I would be in when they arrived:T .
I had a 5-7 delivery slot and I was told that because the driver finishes at 7 s/he heads back to the depot in order to be there at 7 - whether or not s/he has finished the deliveries.0 -
Went to Tescos in Worcester this morning with No 3 daughter ,my first shop since starting the monthly challenge.Took a list and kept to it a few items out of stock will pick them up from Morrisons tomorrow. Total spend £26.84! Have plenty of stuff in so should be ok for a while just topping up on fresh fruit, vegetables, milk and bread.going to the library when in town saving money usually spent on magazines.0

I have finally found out the damage from last month. I seriously went off the rails - tally of all my receipts £385 ! OUCH  and I didn't even do Xmas dinner but NYE was expensive  , a good party  , but just gonna have to brush it under the carpet, and move on.
Interesting was how much we spent on snacks (£37), milk (£44) and bread (£13).
Snacks are mostly made up of crisps, biscuits and the odd slab of chocolate. Between 4 of us (me, DH and 2xDS) it equates to £1.17 a day.
Milk is milk, and the only way I could bring that down is to water the milk down. Seriously thought I had left those days behind me, but aparently not.
And bread well, we don't quite use as much bread as I thought, and I did spot a breadmaker on freecycle yesterday and I asked please please pretty please, but so far no reply or taken message has come up so please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Thankyou to everyone who replied to tesco delivery charge query. Just phoned customer services and they offered me half delivery charge back - pointed out that had it been my fault and delivery had been rescheduled I would have had to pay full delivery again and that asda and sainsburys would refund delivery charge as per their policy. They have now refunded the full delivery charge amount!! Quite right too! cheers guys#118 DFW Debt freely Christmas 2012 Challenge0

Hi everyone,
Went to Morrisons to do a weekly shop. Bought mostly veg and store cupboard stuff as I had a bit of a clear out yesterday and needed to pick up things like chickpeas, passata and sunflower oil so that I have no excuse for not home cooking. They had Special K cereal at less than half price so I bought a couple of those. I really grudge it, but it's the only cereal that OH will eat. Might as well stock up whilst it's a bit cheaper!
Miecherox - if you go to User CP, then Edit Signature on the left side, you can put whatever you want. There may be a quicker way, but I just worked this out last week to create one for myself!0 -
Hi I spend so far £90.32.
Today alone I spend £4.10 in Morrisons for 3x Robinsons Fruit and Barley £.54 each - OH loves this stuff.
1x cocktail sausages £0.99
1x Morissons Sqash Raspberry ripple £0.49
2x Monster bunch Fromage Frais £1.00 (Offer 2For£1.00)
I am having problems with finding ideas for left over veg and fruit. At the moment we do eat lots of frozen veg, as it is easier to make sure that DS's have a good diet.
Any help there would be very much appriciated.
Off to update my siggi

hi, i think we will join this month. we need to spend as little as possible as we need to pay for the car tax at the end of the month. 1st jan zero spend as shops shut:rotfl: . 2nd jan, hubby bought rolls and a paper - will need to ask how much they cost. 3rd jan no spend day. new years day, was a free feed at mil's :j and 2nd and 3rd have eaten from the freezer & storecupboard.
dinner on the 2nd was leftover chicken casserole cooked in slow cooker in spicy home made gravy with onions and mushrooms with leftover home made roast tots crisped up in deep fat fryer. 2 portions of the chicken casserole in freezer for another day.
dinner tonight is chinese chicken curry from freezer with micro egg fried rice and prawn crackers, both from storecupboard.
we won't have a total as we don't have a previous total to compete against. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090
