  • Hi, i've been doing my own grocery challenge since October but this is my first time joining in "for real"

I'm aiming for £240 (2nd-31st Jan) Like a lot of you I have loads left in the cupboards and freezer from Xmas so I think it should be managable

    We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 boys,10,8 and almost 2

This amount is to cover food, cleaning stuff plus nappies and wipes.

Hoping this will also help me with one of my New Year resolutions to cook from scratch and adapt recipes to include stuff I already have in the fridge/freezer etc

Please can I be included on the list aswell?
How does a brown cow give white milk, when it only eats green grass?
  • Can I join in as well please
I am trying to clear debts and learn how to live under our income so if anything goes on us we can manage to at least replace with 2nd hand instead of being without, but debts paid off comes 1st....lol
I am going to say a budget of £180 for the 3 of us for the month of January and see how we go with that
hopefully we will come in under it
    :)
    My Goals
To be debt free by end of year
To lose 1 stone by easter
Will post debts as soon as i discover the full impact 0uch!!
    To earn £500 taking in sewing= Earned £6 today=Total £6

  • I'd like to join too, please. I've lurked for ages but joined the forum so I can do this challenge. I think DH and I spend up to £65 per week on the main shopping but I am guilty of buying extras through the week (awful, I know).

I am aiming for £60 per week in January. Will start on 5th. I am intending budgeting £65 on my accounts and saving the rest for Christmas etc 2008.

  • Hi

Wonder if I could join the grocery challenge - my supermarket spending has got out of hand recently - I enjoy good food :)

I thought my challenge for January would be £250, not sure how acheivable that is but it gives me a target.

    Thanks
