CPM, DRP and now Gladstones

  • The main point is its not in my leasehold or tenancy agreement either  , when the management  imposed the CPM run parking regime in 2021  they did not amend lease contracts signed in 1992   so the parking regime is not legal ...there is case law  on that which Gladstones and CPM have already lost  cases  on.. But they chose to still harass and bully for money they are not entitled to ,, and lie  and mislead in their communications which they have also lost cases on ,, So I will just wait them out ,, Im very happy to wait until a court date or they concede....

Good.  We agree with your stance.

Sad to think of all the residents, authorised visitors, family, friends, couriers & trades persons who are paying these scam PCNs at residential car parks across E&W.

It must be so lucrative. No wonder the IPC spout rubbish about their members 'protecting' residents, because they are desperate to keep that scam working.

PPCs need banning from residential car parks IMHO. Certainly ANPR.

Have you both got your MPs on board to lean on the MAs and to lobby the MHCLG to sort out this mess?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They even mention/recognise the scam in their new single CoP:-

    https://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/AOS/NEW Redesigned Documents/sectorsingleCodeofPracticeVersion1260624.pdf

    "14.  Relationship with landowner

NOTE 3: Particular care is needed to establish appropriate contractual terms, including the application of parking terms and conditions, in respect of controlled land where leaseholders may have rights that cannot be qualified or overruled e.g. by imposing a requirement on the resident of an apartment block to display a permit to park in contravention of their rights under their lease, or to ensure that free parking periods do not breach planning consents."
  • The Worthing MP was  tory grandee  Peter ''Bottomless '' Bottomly   ,, totally useless  , only got generic letter back from him saying  he was concerned and had lobbied for change in rogue parking and that was it ..

Down in Cotswolds now local Mp Roz Savage LD, she is a good MP and interested in Parking reform and  so on .
  • I have just received and Email from Gladstones  head of litigation  The gist of it is below  :

'' Further to previous correspondence, we confirm our instruction has been withdrawn and our files pertaining to the matters referenced above have been closed.''

so it seems they have folded  when faced with my arguments and willingness to defend myself against them and their vexatious scamming client CPM,,

A win for me and my advisers thankyou

    Well done you!

Make sure you ask UKCPM to confirm that this means the PCNs are cancelled and that they will now erase your data.
