You Fibre

I have been looking at You Fibre for a while as a change from Virgin and by chance I have a rep at the door.
They put all the infrastructure into my street last year.

the caller offered 1000mps for 29.99 per month for 24 months with no increases.
Buy out of my current Virgin deal up to £300
3 months free to start

Free mesh booster
But Unusually instead of the Eero 6+ router an ASUS dsl ax82u which he said was better?

Has anybody had any dealings with you fibre both good or bad.
Or any views between the two modems?

  • I've just got YouFibre at 150 mps at £21.99 I left Plusnet and they charged me £145  to leave them, YouFibre will only pay my buy out if I can give them a itemised bill on the £145 which Plusnet don't do, ask your provider first if they do itemised bills on the final invoice or they won't pay out good luck.

I don't trust the no increases as inflation rate will probably kick in.

I signed up myslef rep at the door, then looked further and wasn't a simple change supplier on my curent line, like I have done over the years each time my contract was up, but an installation - no thanks

I signed at the door as the rep promised lots of extras. When I checked this was not true so I cancelled. Since then I have had a call from the area manager apologising and negotiating a deal that this time will be written down. I was always keen to change to them to get away from Virgin and the constant re-negotiation hassle so the no increase clause was a big draw.

The service is superb.   I pay £27.99 per month for a 1gig symmetrical service which is brilliant for my backups.  This eclipses anything that an Openreach supplier has to offer in terms of price.   Being an alt-net they do use their own infrastructure so yes if you have Openreach FTTP then you will have a second fibre laid to your house.

    Thank you for the information.
It is 29.99 per month now for 1gb shich is still a good price.

Do you use the eero 6+ router they provide?

A symmetric package offers the same speed up as well as down which is something you won’t find on Openreach.  I have an existing mesh network built with eero 6E routers so I packed the 6+ away when the installers left.

hey told me it was the same up and download speeds snd I could not think of a reason to have such a fast upload but cloud backup seems a good reason.
i have an Orbi mesh currently coming from a Virgin modem and am hoping the 6+ with an extra extender may replace everything in one system.
