Parking Eye possible GDPR breach

Hello,

I recently received a parking fine from Parking Eye for parking without paying. I didn't use their car park (it's a hospital so I may have driven in and out of some at the time, but there was no spaces). I parked on a public road eventually. I took photos off my parking to show no signs, public road, no road marking etc. I was legally allowed to park there.

I sent an appeal which they accepted and said I no longer need to pay the fine.

Have they breached any data protection rules? Could I claim compensation? If so how?

It seems to me they have accessed my information from the dvla when there was no need.

Last Jan 2023, after two years of appeals to them and popla, they took me to court for a different incident. They pulled out 2 days before the court case. I knew I was right then.

I'm tired and stressed and distressed with Parking Eye. I'd like to be compensated. Mainly to show them not to treat people this way.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

S
