Parking Eye possible GDPR breach

Hello,
I sent an appeal which they accepted and said I no longer need to pay the fine.
Have they breached any data protection rules? Could I claim compensation? If so how?
It seems to me they have accessed my information from the dvla when there was no need.
Last Jan 2023, after two years of appeals to them and popla, they took me to court for a different incident. They pulled out 2 days before the court case. I knew I was right then.
I'm tired and stressed and distressed with Parking Eye. I'd like to be compensated. Mainly to show them not to treat people this way.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
S

I think this would get nowhere, unfortunately. They are allowed to issue PCNs based on ANPR and they cancelled it quickly.
Re the other one that you were sued over, after losing at POPLA, please help push the regulation of the parking industry and new appeals service over the line:

Please earn yourself £60 and help regulate the parking industry. This is an official thing and MSE Towers has agreed I can share it.
Short notice but do the survey now with the POPLA failure in mind (and if accepted, then a short & friendly video call next week) to tell the Government's consultancy outsourced firm your experience of 'appealing'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
