Registered keeper. There is no register of ownership of cars in the UK.
If it sticks, force it.

My Dad is also on the family members insurance as a named driver so he will be driving the car to me. Then it will be SORNd etc and off road.

There is no register of ownership @born_again only Registered Keeper but the terms of DoC are on ownership not who is the keeper.born_again said:

Then borrow it for a couple of days until your relative decides he no longer wants it and gives it to you.1
