Then i'm confused by some of your posts. If it usually costs you £5 to fill up your EV and that is free during the power up, then that's a £5 profit.
When I get free electricity I charge the batteries, charge the EV, deep clean the washing machine and anything else I can think of. I don't waste electricity, I just use more then I usually would because it's free.
Agree with the £5 profit. It's a saving.

And it might not even be using more, just using it at a different time
I was saying that there wasn’t much point in using electricity just to waste it eg soaking clean towels just to use the tumble dryer, as there is no profit element to this. So there is little point in using more, just good value in moving to a different time.

Another 2 hours today, 12-2pm. One car will be out and the other is fully charged from yesterday, so this will be more of a challenge.

Seems a first time for this. My energy provider has a power up event tomorrow between 1 and 2pm. 29p / KWH credit for every KWH shifted.
    Which supplier is this?

  • I had a Power Up event last week. So I upped my energy use over a 2 hour period and it was £1.60 for the day. Usually only 80p a day so will I definitely see a profit?

Roughly speaking, the energy cost is matched by the usage during the power up period. So you should see a credit of any extra you used during that time period. If you have ovo anytime charge for an electric vehicle, you should see a profit on that element of 22p/ KWH
