From the figures above I don't think any of the Banks can be very proud - even the best have 1 in 5 unhappy customers.
Personally I bank with Nationwide, Halifax, Santander and Virgin and would mark them as good but not outstanding.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

The independent service quality survey detailed methodology – personal current accounts says:"The questionnaire asks respondents how likely they are to recommend their current account provider for each of the following:
- Overall service
- Branch services
- Online and mobile services
- Overdraft services
For each recommendation question results are in the form of the percentage saying that
they were “extremely likely” or “very likely” to recommend the provider, among those who
took part in the survey. Percentages are calculated by excluding those who answered “don’t
know”, and also excluding those who had not used a branch in the last 3 months,
online/mobile banking in the last 3 months or an overdraft in the last 12 months (from the
relevant questions)."So 1 in 5 are not unhappy. They are just not very happy.0 -
I am satisfied with my current account, back up account and credit card providers, but that does not mean that I am "very likely" to recommend them. My Santander 123 Lite account is not available to new customers. Not everyone qualifies for the Select service, Not everyone has a long track record with Santander. My Tesco Clubcard Pay+ account suites me, but would it not suit everyone. Santander now pays more cashback than my Barclaycard Rewards card, but the difference is not significant for me, and I do not want my current account and my credit card to be with the same bank.
