    Well congratulations.

Two highly unusual events today:  Apple produced a report for someone admitting that a bit of kit had failed because they'd used faulty components, and you got an apology out of Sports Direct

    Maybe the tide is turning...
    Thank you

    I don’t think it was a compliment.

No I’m sure it was, and a really heartfelt one as well

    Whoops!

I can't have drafted it very well as it was intended to be a compliment.  I wouldn't have pursued it myself, thought the OP was wasting their time and never expected him to get anything from SD.  But he got what he wanted.

So... Well done.  I was wrong

    Thanks.  I appreciate that.

I thought I was wasting my time too but it worked out well in the end.  SD just need to educate their customer service team to the possibility of this happening and that the customer might be telling the truth.

The whole thing was ridiculous from day one as I returned a men's hoody and they said I'd returned a pair of women's trousers.  They even sent them to me and warned me not to try it on again as they'd keep the trousers next time 😂

They weren’t even from SD and were heavily creased with no tags.

I’m sure there are cases of people wearing things once and then sending them back for a refund but this was completely bizarre and that should have been a warning sign that I was telling the truth.
