Thanks for the quick reply, I've seen you always seem to be there to help. Thanks. I'll have another dig.
A series of potentially silly questions now, if I may, I'm afraid:

When it says: "a copy of the Beavis case sign as a comparison to..." is this somewhere in the forum or a matter of googling " Beavis case sign" or such?

When it says: " other case transcripts that support your defence, e.g....you need Jopson v HomeGuard ... " is there a special site where these can be found?

When it says: "paras 98, 193 and 198 from Parking Eye v Beavis copied & pasted onto a single sheet." Where does one get this, and why this in particular?

Finally, is it possible to delete one's comments here? It's not for the ones made so far, it's just that there's one particular short question I'd like to query, but I don't want it hanging around here too long since if the private parking scammers see it, it might make clear which claim this is etc.

You won't be able to edit / delete until you've reached the threshold of a good few more posts.  Might be 20 posts?  Not sure. Then you see three dots too right above your posts and hey presto you have the power to edit!

When it says: "a copy of the Beavis case sign as a comparison to..." is this somewhere in the forum or a matter of googling " Beavis case sign" or such?
Yes. Google images but you'd need to add 'ParkingEye' as a keyword. Yellow & black sign.

When it says: " other case transcripts that support your defence, e.g....you need Jopson v HomeGuard ... " is there a special site where these can be found?
No, sadly not. search the forum! Or they might already appear as links in the exemplar threads (Jopson may not be relevant for your case).

Again it's Googleable or it's already in the Exhibits people used in the exemplar threads.  Those paragraphs from the Supreme Court all say stuff that makes it clear that an £85 parking charge (with zero added admin fees)  already more than covered costs and profit.

Hi, thanks for your help, it's gradually all coming together. One thing curious I did notice is that most people are given a couple of weeks before the hearing as the deadline to hand in their WS, I've been told to hand mine in quite a few months before the hearing, is that also normal/any idea why that might happen and can I ask for an extension in that case?

    No extension, no.

It will just be what that court prefers to manage the weight of cases they handle.

They are probably very ruthless at striking out Claims or Defences if parties miss the deadline. Hey presto, the future hearing list is significantly less work!

If I managed a court I'd do it too.  Good case management.

For the signature, can I just type it in or do I need to print it out, hand sign and scan it back as a PDF?

On mine, i used the Fill & Sign feature on Adobe Acrobat.  Signed a blank A4 paper and scanned it. Saved it as an image file and then you can just attach to the document

You only have to simply type your name as. your signature. There's no need for anything else or a picture of your actual signature.

Regarding para 10 in the WS, what is all the waffle about the car park being empty got to do with the price of eggs in China?

Without knowing who is the claimant, their representative, the PoC and the defence submitted, it is difficult to provide a critique of the WS.
