Next step now that DCBL (Limited) has escalated to Dcb Legal.

  • I would also send a pic of the letter from DCB Legal to MFG (Motorfuel group customer services) and ask them if they realise what the parking operator is doing to ESSO customers with such aggressive litigation threats.  Remind them of the earlier complaint and make sure they know this is NOT at a 'legal' stage so their agent can certainly cancel the unfair charge.
I have followed your advise and sent another letter. I will update if I hear back.

    Thank you.

I have now received a letter from DCB Legal……
Good. Now that DCB Legal are involved, you're on your way to getting this sorted.

If the correspondence is headed 'Letter Of/Before Claim, please deal with it as per the advice (and template) in the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post.  Thereafter, once a County Court claim is raised against you, that second post will go on to advise you further.  The Template Defence Announcement will also help. Both the Announcements can be found near the top of the forum thread list, where they stay permanently.

Stay with the required process and your case will end up where all similarly handled DCB Legal-led claims do - the DCB Legal Discontinuation thread.

    Thank you!
  • I received a letter today back from Motor fuel group and it looks like they are not gonna help!
and that I need to contact Euro car parks.

    Hello*******,

    Thank you for contacting MFG.

We apologise for any inconvenience you may have experienced at our ******* site.

Our goal is to ensure a seamless and pleasant experience for all our customers. Motor Fuel Group has an agreement in place with a parking contractor, Euro Car Parks. This agreement is enforced in multiple sites within our network where a number of significant contributing factors have required additional steps to support us in maintaining a safe and accessible forecourt for all of our customers.

Due to the parking management at this service station being entirely operated by Euro Car Parks all letters in regards to the fine would of been sent by them directly, we kindly ask you to contact them for any correspondence on one of the below options:

    Euro Car Parks
    30 Dorset Sq
    London NW1 6QJ
    Tel: 020 7563 3000

    Www.eurocarparks.com appeal a parking charge
    Www.eurocarpark.com pay a parking charge

    Kind regards,

    *******

    1. Do I try to contact Euro car parks or is it too late for that now considering I have received my Letter of claim?

Or is this is a big no no anyway?

Also perhaps I should point out that the first letter that I received from dcbl, stating NOTICE OF DEBT RCOVERY - Unpaid Parking Charge £170 was the first time I knew about the Parking Charge!

I did not receive any letters from Euro car parks!

I didn’t know that Euro car parks were the company involved until I received the above letter from MFG

It says on all the dcbl letters That their client is National Parking Control Group Limited.

IN FACT I received NO LETTER informing me of a parking charge FROM ANY PARKING COMPANY and my address and details on my V5 are and have always been correct!

Its either Euro Car Parks , or NPC , one or the other, 2 different companies , your debt collectors letters are by their client NPC Group, nothing to do with ECP. I suppose that ECP are their CURRENT supplier, but previously it must have been NPC , So their reply is full of errors, especially the parking company that is involved

The most common reason for no PCNs arriving is moving addresses, especially if the V5c is not updated promptly

All the actual parking company has to do is obtain keeper details from the DVLA and post the PCN to that address, nothing more

Ideally we want to see a redacted copy of the PCNs ( which you dont have. ) and redacted pictures of the DCB letters too, plus any pictures of signs from the incident dates

If at any time you changed address and updated your drivers licence details with the DVLA, they would not have updated your V5C logbook data. That has to be done separately. It is the address details from the V5C that the PPC requests from the DVLA. This is the most common reason why people first hear about a parking charge ( it is not and never is a "fine").

If this is the case, you must instruct the PPC to rectify your address for service and to erase your old address. Failure to do this is a sure fire way to get a CCJ by default.

The second post in the Newbies/FAQ thread advises in great detail on what you need to do in response to an LoC.

You say address is correct on your V5C then please consider supporting this.
So many people don't receive 1st/2nd pcn but the £170 payment due letter often manages to drop through letter boxes. PPCs always claim discounted/full rate pcn/court claim letters were sent though offer no evidence to prove this. A letter's issue date is not it's sending date nor does it prove the letter was sent.

Since PPCs CHOOSE NOT to provide evidence of their posting date and delivery we must continue to press gov to ensure they do. Please sign/share these petitions.
Require communications from Private Parking companies to be traceable/trackable

Thanks. Hope your pcn gets cancelled.
