@Coupon-mad  i emailed Euro carparks but it bounced back.
I filled in their contact form and had this reply, I really don’t want to deal with any solicitors or debt collectors 😔

Emailed them? What about?  I don't see that we advised you to do that, unless it was a complaint?

I was told to contact the land owner, have I done wrong?

ECP are certainly not a retail park landowner.  Not sure why you emailed the parking firm but no harm done!

You merely needed to read the colourful entrance plinth advertising the retail units at the location, because at the bottom of that welcome sign, it likely shows the property agents who run the place for the landowner.

It wasn’t a retail park, it was just a car park on the outskirts of a town I am unfamiliar with.
It’s not close to where I live.
    I think I’m in a mess

You are not.  Please re-read all the replies because you already know you are safe.  Maybe you just need reminding of what we said.

Thank you, I am just nervous.  I live on my own and not great with stress, I dread what the postman will bring next. I hope I haven’t spoiled anything, I just presumed they were the landowner.

Doesn't look like a complaint to landowner will get far - from a 2017 newspaper article - 'It was established that the land is owned by one of a number of companies in the British Virgin Islands, one of which is called West End Paradise Limited.'  Various schemes to redevelop the site (the Old Town Hall site) have fallen through and Euro Parks have continued to use it for car parking.
