These things are very variable because of local geography and construction, I have terrible indoor service from all providers (mitigated by Wi-fi calling) but that's down to 200 yo stone construction on mine and the surrounding terraces.spud17 said:
I'd not considered that.flaneurs_lobster said:
Maybe now using Vodafone's infrastructure under their "I'll show you mine if .... " protocol?spud17 said:"Also, I was under the impression that Three had already completed their 3G switch off, but their website states it will be completed in November 2025."
We use Three for our tiny office BB with a ZTE router.
It's still 3G but speed had jumped from 5/6Mbps to 12/15 Mbps, plus we now have 4 lights on the router instead of 2.
(Landline is 1Mbps and no upgrade likely.)
I will say that on paper Three are the slowest provider for us, but at the time I tried all 4 main networks and Three were the fastest in a real world situation.
Ironically, once you move from our yard, EE is the best by far.
Rubbish outside my house but 100 metres away at end of street I've seen over 400Gb/sec on Vodafone 5G (there's a pole the size of a Saturn V down there).0 -
My 83 yr old mother is being stung for over £100 with VirginMedia/O2 who have switched off her network so she wanted to cancel the monthly payments. "Early cancellation charges".1

"...switched off her network..." . Do you mean they have switched off the 3G signal locally and her old phone no longer works? What phone does she have? Smartphone? Feature phone?Blackcatigirl said:My 83 yr old mother is being stung for over £100 with VirginMedia/O2 who have switched off her network so she wanted to cancel the monthly payments.
