Ah yes, a one time post to promote a paid for app isn't reassuaring.

This plant rings a bell in my brain but I can't bring the info to the fore.
I tried Google Image match but can't find a way to limit it to the UK.

Get a feeling it's something like wild spinach, looks a lot like Sea Beat but I wouldn't go trying it.
I think it's something to be dumped. If it's not popular enough to be identified then it's unlikely to be that exciting to eat or grow.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I don't think it's sea beet - the leaves are the right texture/look, but my sea beet has diamond leaves on a fairly thick rib/stem which I can't see here.

Re plant ID apps, there's a number available. Some at cost and some free, and they can be good for identifying a general family or genus if you're stumped, but they really shouldn't be used at the species level to identify anything potentially edible. Experience can't be replaced by AI and not all plants can be confidently identified at all stages in their growth cycle - sometimes you have to wait for flowers or fruit to be sure :)

There's plenty of dichotomous keys online if you want a definitive botanical ID (this is one I was looking at recently to ID some moss: https://www.britishbryologicalsociety.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/BBS-Field-Guide-Field-Key.pdf)
I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.

The free PlantNet app on my phone identified it as a variety of Evening Primrose just from a screenshot.
