In order to get four Edge Savers you need to open two sole and one joint Edge Currents.jameseonline said:
Cool, my 1st lot of interest is due around the same time as my First Direct Regular Savings account ends (10th May) 😁allegro120 said:
We've got four of them opened on different dates and the interest always arrives on time, including weekends.jameseonline said:Would bank holidays affect things?, some months longer than others?, standard weekends?
EDIT: 4 Edge savers?
... almost worth getting a partner ... haha. 0 -

You don't have to be married to be entitled to a joint account.

You can open a joint account with anyone so long as they are qualified for opening a bank account.friolento said:jameseonline said:

Question: Has anyone downgraded the Edge current account to save the £3 fee and did they take away your Edge Saver ? Are could you retain the Edge saver after downgrading the current account ?

Interesting question, but why would you do this? If the fee is not worth the cash back then you don't set DDs and don't pay the fee, if the fee is worth the benefits then you are better off carry on paying it. If it was worth paying the fee but not anymore you can close the existing Edge current and open a new one, this should keep Edge saver going.DavidT67 said:Question: Has anyone downgraded the Edge current account to save the £3 fee and did they take away your Edge Saver ? If the cashback is not wanted, DD not set up and therefore no fee payable is the £500p.m. still needed?Thanks0

No, I opened mine in August last year, didn't pay in anything and it is still running.Gers said:If the cashback is not wanted, DD not set up and therefore no fee payable is the £500p.m. still needed?Thanks1 -

I have never deposited £500 in mine, nor set up any DDs. I do get occasional "reminder" email from Santander about not earning any cashback, but nothing to suggest they will force a downgrade of my Edge current account.......yet!1
