One Call Insurance quagmire

We were rear-ended on the motorway the other night.
Thought we were well insured.  However, calling One Call Insurance has proven a nightmare.  Firstly, we were passed straight through to One Call Claims, the claim handling company linked with One Call. Read some negative reviews about them so opted not to go with One Call Claims and go through Liverpool Victoria instead.  Now we are caught between pillar to post. Nobody is able to answer our questions adequately or provide us with an update on the situation.  The broker insists we speak to the underwriter or to One Call Claims and we are just losing the will to live with the lot of them.    I don't suppose anyone has any words of advice on how to proceed.

My advice to anyone considering One Call Insurance is "Don't even bother."  They are insensitive and uncaring and just want your premium.
