Notice to Keeper from Euro Car Parks - not my vehicle

I've just recieved a notice to keeper PCN dated 01/05/2024 however they have made a mistake on the vehicle identification. The picture is of a white citroen van with a registration with one digit different to my car. The photo shows the digit as 'M' on the photograph, where as mine is a 'W'.
What is the correct way to appeal this - it's clearly not my car and if you check the registration in the photo is comes up as a white van as shown in the photo.
Am I likely to be successful? I don't want to end up with a credit file issue so need to make sure I appeal the correct way.

Is there anything to appeal? It sounds like the parking company have come to the wrong person.I would call the parking company and explain that the white citroen van in the photo is nothing to you with you.0

It says on the back that all appeals, complaints and transfer of liability must be submitted online, in writing and within 28 days. I assume that I can do this immediatly and there is no process to follow? I've read the guides, however these seem to be aimed at people who are the keepers of the vehicle. I clearly am not, if they actually checked the registration they have issued to they would see it's not a white van, but a black car.

You should complain to DVLA and ICO for unjustifiably giving your personal data to this company which is in breach of GDPR.
They have not carried out the required checks beforehand.2 -

All correspondence must include the Parking Charge Notice reference number, your vehicle registration mark, your name, address and the name of the driver (if different) and any supporting evidence. All appeals should be marked for the attention of our Appeals Department. Upon receipt of your appeal the Parking Charge Notice will be placed on hold for the duration of the appeals procedure. Please allow up to 28 days for your appeal to be processed."

Appeal this from day 13 to 28 pointing out it’s not your vehilce - the registration shown on the photos clearly shows it not.The reason why you should appeal it anytime between day 13 to day 28 from the pcn issue date is to prevent them from reissuing a new pcn to the correct keeper within statutory timeframe of 14 days .2

Definitely do not phone them , you appeal as keeper on their website on day 13
As mentioned above, appeal on day 13 that it's a data misread, that its clearly not your vehicle in the pictures and that their manual checks should have realised this and that your DVLA details were incorrectly accessed and could possibly be construed as a GDPR breach, so your details should be erased immediately and the erroneous PCN cancelled forthwith4 -
Attach a photo of your vehicle with the VRM plate clearly showing. Then, when they cancel, consider sending them a Letter of Claim for their DPA/GDPR breach. £300 should be about right! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Just to clarify the date of issue of the PCN is 01/05/24, the date of the alleged offence is 24/04/24.Do I appeal 13 days after offence on 07/05/24 (today) or 13 days after issue date so on 13/05/24?
many thanks.0 -
