    Few queries

--Any idea on how time it takes for the fund bought to appear in the HL account. I placed an order on 08-05-2024 evening for all the funds and HSBC GIF Turkey Equity Class BC is still not in the account, Its showing as submitted for dealing in the pending orders.
-- Any website when I can track the funds previous performace for the last 10 years , as in the HL I can only check it for the last 5 years.?
-- Adding lumpsum is better in the Junior ISA , monthly on a fxed date or Quarterly?

The KIID (available on HL) gives performance back to 2014.

Fixed vs quarterly I'm sure someone else would have a more educated responses but: fixed every year at start of year means more time in the market. Periodic means you catch the highs and the lows of the market so potentially smooth our your entry point and return. Look up dollar cost averaging. It's essentially a low effort way to attempt to time the market.

If you are thinking of doing £9k per year for several years anyway you are essentially cost averaging anyway, just over longer intervals.

EDIT: you also have to weigh up any increase in fees due to more frequent trading.

    Thanks @gravel_2

Please can someone help one with a fund that tracks S&P500 on the HL platform with the low ongoing cost?

Also is it good idea to invest in fund or an ETF?

On HL platform for buying./ selling funds there is no chargefrom HL  but for shares and also ETfs( I belive) they charge a hefty share dealing fee per transaction

However the platform fee for shares/ETF's is capped, but for funds is uncapped.

If Monevator is up to date, there are no platform fees and no transaction fees for funds and ETFs on a JISA with HL. Also no FX fee on standard trades.
