Yes, because people still watch TV.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

I pay it. I therefore pay for programmes/content non-licence payers watch for free!

Eventually if no one pays, there won't be an advert free option for tv, radio...

    Obviously, I'm a fool.

However, my view is that if you watch/listen/consume any BBC provided content, then whether it is live or recorded, morally you should pay the licence fee.
Watching BBC live or recorded requires a licence

How do you work that one out? I'm a non licence fee payer because I don't watch/record live TV as it's broadcast or use BBC iPlayer.
I couldn't care less if the BBC has to introduce adverts on their TV/Radio channels.
You clearly watch live TV so require a TV licence, but no need to critisise those that legally don't.

If the BBC stops producing programmes, then what would you watch?

Personally I think iPlayer (not live) for non licence holders should come with ads. If you want no ads you need to pay. If you consume no BBC content, then no problem.

    Hi Emmia.

If you use the iPlayer at all you have to have a TV licence.  It doesn't matter if it is live or not.

oh don't worry about us non-licence payers and the BBC being unable to afford to make programs

the BBC have masses of money they can afford to pay Gary Lineker over a million pounds an episode for commentating on football
