Deadline to restart Netflix?

As I became out of contract with BT (had Netflix through them as about 10p cheaper per month) I cancelled my TV package which in turn cancelled Netflix. Currently have free Disney so am not really fussed about restarting Netflix any time soon.

I'm getting emails off them saying restart Netflix by 11th May.

My question is .... or else what? What's so special about 11th May? 
They don't say what the 'or else what' is. Does my account with all its settings/history get deleted or something?
Or for example could I rejoin on 11th JUNE and pick up where I left off kind of thing - all profiles, viewing history all intact?
