Likely a small fine on top of the overpayment. They will make deductions from your UC to repay it.

@poppy12345 how should I word this in my journal? Will they stop my payments or sanction til repaid?

If you were only earning about £50/month then that's only an extra £27.50 deduction in your UC so not huge. There's really no other advice to give other than what's already been advised.

Just to update if anyone is interested.
I had interview and mentioned the surveys(had already notified on journal). She said she had asked a decision maker and they said, if was under £1000 per year it would be ignored. I had to send paypal and ebay statements to check this.
Got message today that review complete and no changes.

    Thanks for the update.
It's interesting to know that was the DMs 'Decision'. I'm not at all sure that is specified anywhere that us mortals can see it.

Reading this with interest as I have also just had a journal entry telling me I'm having a telephone review, I get about 80-100 a month for surveys and such. I'm on LCW so I have a work allowance which I think is around £400, so it's well below that. But now I'm concerned that they may flag it as possibly being over the £1000 a year threshold for HMRC. Can anyone advise about this? Seems like it would be wise to write a journal note about this before the phone appointment takes place.

The £1000 threshold is for trading / self-employment ('trading' often comes into play for people selling stuff, it's the difference between selling unwanted personal items vs selling items the person bought or made specifically to sell).

I don't know if surveys would count, you'll have to look into the guidance.

    Edit: this may help https://www.gov.uk/check-additional-income-tax

And to specifically answer your question, UC aren't going to care about any HMRC threshold.  They'll likely just assume that you meet any responsibilities for declaring income.
