Partial ISA Transfer Query

I think this is OK to do, but would just like some confirmation that this is possible.
Pay 20k into a new fixed 1 year ISA for this financial year.
Then with an existing 80K ISA from previous years. Is it possible to do a partial transfer into 2 different ISA's. Transfer 40k into an instant access ISA and 40k into either the new 1 year fixed ISA that was opened with the 20k, or pay it into a different fixed ISA (possibly 2 year fix)?

Yes, it's possible in principle under the ISA rules, but only if the relevant providers choose to support partial transfers (not all do).1
