Why can we not enjoy the Sainsburys Eon 24month Smooth Renew v6 Tariff, which would save me £420 pa

Sainsbury seem to operate an Elite Invitation only Energy Tariff, that seems contrary to offering all Customers a fair deal...Why ?

    They do not have to offer promotional tariffs to everyone, in this case they have potentially chosen not to offer it to you. I cannot find any details of that tariff at all though, how do you know it exists and the rates?

    It's not by any chance a smart meter only tariff and you are yet to have smart meters fitted, is it? We've come across that as a reason for a tariff not being offered before.

    It’s a renew tariff so looks like it’s only being offered to those that are currently coming to the end of a fix & want to renew. 
    Clue is in the name really, unless you’re coming to the end of a fix imminently, it’s not being offered to you.

    yes i have checked the tariff which i found details of on MSE... against the Tariff I am on

    I have been with Sainsburys for 4 + years and they have offered me a tariff which i am now on...recently...but not this better tariff

    Yes i have had a Smart Meter for several years though !

    I got it from MSE ....thats how I became aware of it !
  • I have now taken my Complaintto the Ombudsman, whose Agent agreed with me that it seemed unfair

    They regularly offer me Renew Tariffs none of which is a good as this one !
