EE MiFi

Hello
Last year I bought an EE MiFi gadget from Argos for about £90 which gave me wifi away from home for 12 months. It is close to expiry or may have run out by now. (hard to test when at home).
I will still need access when away from home to watch Firestick TV, use a tablet etc. The use is not constant maybe for a week or so at a time for only a few random weeks of the year.
EE is the best for the location.
What is the most cost-effective convenient way to buy this data please?
How much data will I use for say, 2 hours of Firestick TV ?
Do I buy each time I need it for a week (prices aren't clear & seem out of proportion to a year's worth of gadget) or
Do I just buy a new gadget?
Are there other options?
My mobile phone is with Vodafone. I've read about using my mobile as a 'hotspot' but not sure how to or if it would be strong enough? (I may be on a small 1 or 3gb plan)
As you can probably tell this is all a mystery to me so any advice would be very welcome.
Thank you

Is this the device you've bought?

Did you set up an account with EE when you got the MiFi? This account should tell you how much data you have used of the (probably) 120GB that it was supplied with. This will help you decide how much data you might need in the future.0
