Gear changes come very low in the rev range, ie sooner on the way up and later on the way down.

Just an update on this, I successfully completed  1000 mile journey with 8 passengers without any issues. Just needed to be extra wide while turning and had to watch out while reversing but otherwise it felt no different to driving car. 

Thanks all for sharing your thoughts and experiences, really helped me go ahead and have this memorable trip with entire family (included three generations!)
