My husband died and has £14.40 credit on his 1p mobile account. They are refusing to refund it. I know it's not a lot of money but why should they keep it.

Alternatively is there a family member who could port their payg number to your husband's sim and use up the balance then port it away again?1 -

Yes you can you need to log into site then SIM and networks and turn on Premium rate calls & texts (includes text donations etc)

I understand your point but it's either £10 for 3 months or £30 a year less than a pound a week £1 so any surplus is going to be small.
For this reason there is no refund. But it isn't removed.
Prevent an auto top up and use the surplus yourself?
