You were expecting that weren't you?
Item 7 on that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence says...
Items 8, 9 and 10 on that list might be worth another read too.3 -
Indeed, I was expecting that.
I posted this on the forum here to keep you guys in the loop on where we stand on this case.1 -
Hi, hope you guys are doing well.
Just an update on my case. I completed the N180 Form at the very last minute (had a family emergency - dad currently in hospital with heart problems since 1 week) and this completely slipped my mind. By luck, I was going through my papers and found that I had to complete the N180 form by 27 June 2024. I did complete it and emailed it just a few minutes ago. However, I now realise that I did not answer the Question D correctly (Suitability for determination without a hearing). I chose No but I forgot to provide a reason in the box underneath.
What could possibly happen next? Does that put my case in a weaker position or can I send a follow-up email stating the matter and add the reason I should have included on the form?

Very good. They'll discontinue because they hate hearing dates that are six months away. Too much delay and preparation work needed.

I wonder how much money they've already spent on admin work, employee time, postage, etc, etc trying to oblige me to pay for a fine I am not liable for...and they're still wasting their time and resources for a 'mere' £200

Well, virtually nothing. That's the point. It's all template work.
Did their client suddenly incur £70 damages on the stroke of midnight after 28 days was up?2
