Being Paid
I've been in my current job for 2 months, I didn't get paid on payday for my first pay as they had my bank details wrong, they corrected this and sorted it straight away. However I also haven't been paid today on my second payday either but they have the correct details now. I was just wondering if it will take a few days (I thought it would go in at midnight) and how long should I leave it before I query it with finance?

I'd query it yesterday to be honest, them not paying me for 2 months, I would be downing tools
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

It depends on what type of payment they have used & also how long your bank takes to process it. Some employees here get their pay at 8am & some payments arrive with others at midday.
Also may be worth checking with payroll that they updated your bank details on their software as they may have made a manual payment with your new details but didn't update your details on the software.0 -
Could arrive at anytime in your bank account today. There's no logic in which the order things are processed.0

Given OP gave the wrong bank details for the 1st payment. Then you can't blame the employer for that 🤦♀️Nasqueron said:Life in the slow lane5 -
Given that the first instance was the OP's fault you can't say 2 two months in a row....Nasqueron said:
My money is that Payroll made a manual payment last month following rejected payment & they haven't updated the payroll record.0 -

I don't think we can state that as fact - to me OP's implication was that the employer's payroll team made the error when entering the details, but it's not clear cut either way:Penguin_ said:the first instance was the OP's faultskyblue1919 said:I didn't get paid on payday for my first pay as they had my bank details wrong, they corrected this and sorted it straight away.1 -
OP said they had it wrong, not that he gave it to them wrong 🤦♀️🤦♀️born_again said:

Hasn't been confirmed as being paid late though. Banks are still processing BACS runs for today. Often well in the afternoon.Nasqueron said:0
