Hopefully the G5 is on a recent version of android, soPlug one end of the usb cable into the pc, and the other into the phone. The phone makes a noise and a pop-up appears asking you to choose ready for, transfer files, transfer photos .While you go to find your glasses to read it, it goes away so I've never pressed it, but I'd press transfer files.however, put your finger at the top of the screen and drag down.Somewhere in the massive list of notifications there will be one that says "Charging the device via USB"Poke the down arrow alongside it and it expands to reveal "tap for more options". So tap it and USB preferences appears.Ignore everything except right at the bottom it says "Use USB for"Stab File transfer and the phone will make a noise.Meanwhile, over at the PC in This PC a picture of the phone appears with the name of the phone under it.Right click and do something to actually see the right click options - I think you click "more options". Import pictures & videos is one of the optionsOr double left click on the picture of the phonedouble left click on Internal shared storagedouble left click on the DCIM folderdouble left click on the camera folderand your photos appear.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
