I successfully cancelled Virgin Media broadband. Here is the story.

I understand that Richard Branson do not want so many people to leave his VM wonderland and it may take several months to disconnect.
To save your time:
I told them I'm moving to another country. They stoped transferring me to another agent and cancelled my contract.
My story:
I got VM broadband & TV package but I found no VM socket in my apartment. I made an engineer appointment and the engineer said it might take a few weeks to install the boxes and get connected. All right, let me cancel now (It's still in the cooling off period so I do not pay early cancellation fees, and you may need to give them a 30-day notice to cancel it).
Yesterday I used online chat services saying I need to cancel due to technical issues. They carefully checked my account details which took one agent 30 minutes or more (Let's say 1 agent = 30 min). All right, they may need to check some top secret files. They passed me to 5 different agents (150 min), each of them said they were checking my account details. I asked what info they need, but they didn't say anything. The bot says they were extremely busy and kept asking whether I'm OK to wait.
3 hours later, I gave up and prepared to write a letter to them.
(If you need to write a letter, remember to include acc no., name, full address and other details in case if they need. The address is Virgin Media, Sunderland, SR43 4AA. (Not the Nottingham address, they moved out.) Remember to use first class signed service and keep the receipt which VM customer services may need.)
The next day I contacted them again using chat service, and this time I told them I'm relocating to another country due to family issues. Surprisingly, this time it only took 3 agents to complete, saving 2+ agents (60 min+)! Probably they thought that they could keep those customers suffering from tech issues by passing the case to different agents and jsut wait, but they couldn't "save" the customers moving abroad. This time they finally cancelled my contract and I just need to return the kit to them. I'll return my kit to a O2 store later today and make some updates then.

Can you clarify please... you took a contract with VM without having the cabling and then wanted to cancel when they said they needed a few weeks to install the cabling?0

From wikipedia (my bold)
' On 4 July 2006, Branson sold his Virgin Mobile company to UK cable TV, broadband, and telephone company NTL:Telewest for £900 million. A new company was launched with much fanfare and publicity on 8 February 2007, under the name Virgin Media. The decision to merge his Virgin Media Company with NTL was made in order to integrate compatible areas of the two businesses. Whilst Branson had owned three-quarters of Virgin Mobile, he would now get paid £8.5 million per annum for the use of the Virgin brand name. He does not own any part of Virgin Media.'

Convicted and jailed criminal Branson has a nice little earner renting the Virgin™ name to VirginMedia and now Virgin Money to the useful idiot Nationwide building society bank. Nationwide will pay £15m for up to 4 years to use the Virgin name. Bargain. He was putting that money towards his bankrupt companies Virgin Orbit https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/bransons-virgin-orbit-files-bankruptcy-2023-04-04/ and Virgin Australia https://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/virgin-australia-administration-airline-sir-richard-branson-latest-a9473581.html
