Hi,
Looking for advice as to whether it is safe to leave the air source heat pump whole system on when there is water running through the tundish on the hot water tank. Many thanks in advance for any advice.

It would be safe as the hot water tank will be continually replenished from the mains supply.

It won't be efficient though. It's money going down the drain isn't it?

If it is a continuous flow then something is wrong. Generally a small amount of water will be ejected, each time a pressurised cylinder is heated up, IME.

This happened to me when the pressure expansion vessel failed.  It was fixed by replacing it with a new one.
