Interest on ISA

Apologies if this comes across as a silly question but I've recently received an inheritance and would like to put £9000 into a junior ISA for each of my children.
I understand this is the maximum I can put into a junior ISA.
My question is regarding the interest: if this is paid into the junior ISA would this be considered new money going into the ISA and therefore take it over the annual limit?
