With a max 5m lead I don't see how you can avoid getting the join wet
Water and electricity can and do mix safely together , electric showers, jetwashers, water pumps , fish tank heaters , boilers all use water and electricity combined and are quite safe to use0 -
Our nearest useable power socket is in the conservatory with around 25 metres from the car - so an extension lead is necessary as it is for the patio - but I am concerned about the extension lead socket getting wet !!
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -

You could put it inside a plastic bag if you're that concerned. I just leave mine upside down, but never direct the water in its direction anyway.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. If you take sensible precautions not to jet wash the extension lead connectors and the lead is plugged in to an RCD connected socket you should be ok surely?0

Use one of these (or something similar) at your extension lead connection point with the pressure washer if it's a big worry:1
