What does the order sheet say? If the sofas don't match the order, whilst it may take a little while, I'm sure DFS will sort it. You can of course reject the sofas for a full refund if they don't match the order, you just tell DFS you are "exercising the short term right to reject as the goods do not conform to the contract" and they'll need to refund you within 14 days of agreeing.
That isn't as subjective as it sounds, where it is without doubt clear the goods do not conform they should of course agree immediately. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
We’re they sold as a pair or two separate sofas.

I've got same problem. I was assured that my leather corner sofa was brown. The swatch was dark brown. DfS asked for final payment so I phoned HQ to confirm it was brown. Woman said it didn't look it and I said I was go back to my local branch. I spoke to the manager and he assured me it was brown even tho the swatch said slate. I was uncomfortable with it all but the salesman and manager both said DFS HQ were going by a small photo and that the swatch was clearly brown. It's been delivered and it's grey as in slate grey! I complained and was given the swatch which matched what was delivered and what we signed to order. Do we have any sort of recourse please0

If they've got an order signed by you that says 'slate grey' then you're going to struggle.
Did you order online and only go into your local store to query the colour, or did you order from the store?0 -
sounds a bit like us looking at sofas in John Lewis, liked some leather ones, got the details to send off for swatches. When these arrived they were quite different - took them with us to the store and they were very different from the sofas on display with the same colour names. gave the whole thing a wide berth and went elsewhere2
