 Advisers give information sometimes which keep,making them money, even with the customers money falling .

Advisers make more money when it goes up.  Nobody wants it to go down but investments zig zag daily.  Advisers have no control over that.   They are not responsible for global events.

 Do we have to get the banks to get the money transferred as Quilter will try and get us to reinvest

Quilter will not try and do anything of the sort.   Quilter just take instructions from you or your adviser.     Quilter have over 30,000 investment options available.    

. But with 60 yrs behind us . We believe that the next 5-10 yrs is all we have left and don’t want to take a chance in loosing more than we currently have. It’s great discussing what my inner mind is saying to me. 

You are being very very pessimistic on your life expectancy.  Half of people will make around 87 and a quarter will make around 94.     Planning to be dead by 65-70 is likely understating the reality unless you have health conditions.

Moving to cash from investments  at age 60 is premature and you could be increasing your risk rather than reduce it.
