No responce from VW in over 2 months - discretionary commission

Hi All,

I have had 3 agreements with VW finance, 2 PCP's and 1 HP. I completed the email and sent it to VW back in Feb and had the automated response below but haven't had a reply since. Given is longer the 28 days they said they would reply and longer than the 28 days I asked for a reply what is the next steps? should I chase or wait a little longer?

Thanks

Andy

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your email regarding the commission arrangement and/or interest rate used by the selling retailer at the time you entered your credit agreement.

We can confirm that this has been received and we will endeavour to respond to you within 28 days.

Kind regards,

They currently have 8 weeks from the end of September to give a proper reply and there is a reasonable chance end of September will be pushed back. All complaints are currently on hold by the FCA and have been since January.

I'd hang tight.....I sent an email to VWFS using the template for three agreements in early Feb. Within 4 weeks I had confirmation that no DCA was used for two of them (both were new cars). For the third (a used car) I had nothing until yesterday, when I had an email saying "Based on our initial review we believe a Discretionary Commission Arrangement may apply to your agreement and as such the pause applies to your complaint. If our investigations find a Discretionary Commission Arrangement does not apply to your agreement we will respond to your complaint within the normal 8 week timeline."

Thanks for sharing this. I wrote to VW about our finance arrangement for a used car on 12/2/2024 and again on 9/4/2024, I have not heard anything from them, not even an acknowledgement.

The process is on hold until the FCA finish their review, which is currently scheduled for September, but will likely end up being next year, they do not need to reply to you at the moment.
