Thinking of taking out a ISA with Shawbrook but a little nervous as I have always stuck with the older traditional banks etc before. Is there anything I need to be aware of about using them, are they easy to use and manage accounts with. Many thanks.

I opened one with them over the weekend. No problem at all. I had a couple of 6mth FR bonds with them a couple of years ago. No problem at maturity. Hope this helps.Reading2023 said:Thinking of taking out a ISA with Shawbrook but a little nervous as I have always stuck with the older traditional banks etc before. Been using Shawbrook for a number of years, never any issues with them. If you have an easy access or notice account with them you do need to keep an eye on their rates as when rates were going up they did not automatically increase all accounts but were happy to switch you over to a new account if you asked. Probably not an issue now as people say rates are likely to go down. If I was being very fussy I'd add that their web site is not the quickest to load but once it is loaded it's fine. Maturing bonds have all been as expected, I was notified a few weeks before, made my choice(s) and so far it always went smoothly thereafter.

The easy access ISA is not flexi so doesn't appeal to me. However the fixed term ISAs seem competitive. Not had any problems with them. No app, but that's not an issue for me.0

I think that it depends on what matters to you. Their rates are generally good but their IT is not brilliant, as others have observed.
Shawbrook botched an ISA transfer for me a couple of weeks ago but they did put things right very quickly. Undeterred by their negligence, I opened another fix with them as the rate was good!0 -
Many thanks for the responses, not too worried about the IT issues but as their rates are good I think I will take a chance with them.0
