Burning CD/DVD options for an Android user

Research suggests there's no ability to burn disks on an Android device. My old Windows laptop is at the end of its life and I've come to prefer the simplicity of Android when using a tablet.

Is there a way around this without going back to Windows? I've no experience using Apple devices and they're out of my price range.

Although digital formats will be better & more future proof.

That just lets you connect your tablet to a burner that's connected to a PC though.

Since the OP doesn't want to go back to windows (and can't/won't pay for a Mac) I assume they are after a stand alone burner that their tablet can connect directly to

Nero AirBurn requires use of a PC, so I'm not sure how this solves my quest to burn disks without a PC.

Disc Link Platinum works with certain LG and Hitachi drives (eg Hitatchi GP95)

What are you trying to do with physical media?

The only use I have for a PC is to burn CDs to play on my hi-fi.

Do you have a standalone CD drive that you can burn too? If not you're a little stuffed straightaway

Why is your windows machine coming to end of life, they are generally quite easy to fix

Rather than paying for software, a CDR drive and blank media why not get a streaming device to connect to the hifi and avoid the need for physical media?

Headphone outlet to Hi-Fi audio in? Not ideal at best, possibly damaging at worst.
