State Pension - Applying By Phone

Hello,
When applying for your state pension by phone, are you actually applying for it or do they simply send you forms?
Also, I worked overseas for around 3 months many, many years ago. Nothing special just a general labouring job, so should I mention this if it's going to complicate things?

Usually you receive an invitation to apply about 3 to 4 months before it's due by post.
Then you can apply by phone or via the Internet0 -

I guess it can vary but any idea roughly how long it takes so I can put the time aside?0 -

You don't need any of that.Download and fill in a BR19 form (it's just a simple name/address etc.) and send it to them.
When I did it last year the reply letter with my pension forcast took 2-weeks to get back me:

I did it online, and it was remarkably efficient.👍You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0
