Why did you not refuse it and give it back to the delivery driver?

Is that not the normao procedure when you are not satisfied with an item?

That's happened to us with a Sainsbury's delivery. In our case, it was a bottle of whisky, which came boxed (so we didn't notice until we opened the box a few days later). May well be similar with the vodka- they sometimes come cased especially the more up market brands. In our case, it wasn't a gift so Mr S just went at the security tag with a pair of plyers until he losened it sufficiently for us to get at the whisky (made us feel very chavvy! )

Nobody's going to be able to answer anything from that, but if you give more details then someone may be able to help - what did you try to post (links won't be allowed for new members for example) and did you receive any sort of error message?

I called customer service this afternoon and asked for an email address and this is what they gave me. 

No idea if it's going to get me anywhere, but it's worth a go!
