Just thought I’d update you.  Revolut have refused to reimburse the money.  Lesson well and truly learnt!

No surprise there unfortunately. Revolut is a scammers tool of choice for a reason.

Sorry it has ended like that. Maybe your friend will stop using them and move to a more ethical company that is trusted to actually have a banking license and join codes of conduct like CRM.

£1200 for a single ticket?  I can't think of a single artist, group, theatre production, etc. that would persuade me to shell out 10% of that. 

Astonishing.  I don't begrudge people their choices with their own money, it's just sad that prices for this type of thing has made them inaccessible for so many people.  There's something to be said for following smaller acts, but it means you're almost praying they don't become successful.

My jaw only came off the floor after an hour or so of hearing! I'm with you - he assures me it was a good ticket and he's not hard up, put it that way.

But still, it's remarkable. No wonder the resale market is out of control when people are willing to pay that much.
