No surprise there unfortunately. Revolut is a scammers tool of choice for a reason.
Sorry it has ended like that. Maybe your friend will stop using them and move to a more ethical company that is trusted to actually have a banking license and join codes of conduct like CRM.1 -

Astonishing. I don't begrudge people their choices with their own money, it's just sad that prices for this type of thing has made them inaccessible for so many people. There's something to be said for following smaller acts, but it means you're almost praying they don't become successful.
