    An update on the update...

Well, first the good bit, disabling my adblock worked. I went through the whole of my mag dailies, with no log in issue at all.

The obvious 'but'... it was sooooo much worse for not having the ads blocked. It isn't worth it, in my opinion. With the adblock enabled, the only hassle is logging in once per mag. It means getting an error message for several of the mags, clicking the arrow to return to the previous page, then logging in again. This always works. With the adblock disabled, it means the page is absolutely cluttered with ads, some of them using click bait. The video playing isn't that different to the countdown message about disabling the adblock, but it took significantly longer to go through every comp. I tried the trick of clicking quickly on the video, to go straight to the 'congrats' page. I only managed it once, because the ads mean having to scroll down to the video. I guess you could shrink the page. That might help. I also had to scroll to see the 'congrats' message, because of the page being so full of ads. Tomorrow, I'm re-engaging my adblock.

I've just gone through the ones I post and haven't had any problems at all. I use adblock+ extension on chrome. Do you open all tabs before logging in or just one first to log in and then the rest of your tabs as I found that when I did it your way by going direct to the magazine bookmarks I would have to refresh every page if I opened them all at once rather than just one page to start with to log in.

I found them a bit slow yesterday but about 10 minutes later they were fine.

I used to log in to all the mags first, then open all the competitions and enter them. But since the recent changes, it kept logging me in and out, so I now open them in batches, grouped in magazine order. I log in on the first one for the first magazine, then refresh the pages for the others in the same mag. Then I enter the rest for mag. Then I repeat for each mag. Yes, I use Adblock+ too. Sometimes I have no log in probs, but usually about half of them give me a lot in error message.

Trouble is, we're shooting in the dark, because some days are worse than others with them.

Very strange isn't it. I just go through them one magazine at a time except for the ones that share the same prizes. I also restart my browser a few times in between the different magazines to help clear memory as chrome used to hog lots of memory not sure if it still does now though but it's just habit that I still do that.

I use bitdefender anti virus and found that disabling the anti tracker chrome extension helped yesterday when it was slow loading but today it hasn't interfered at all so that could have just been coincidence.  I only disabled adblocker for about 5 minutes when they were playing up badly but soon re-enabled it as hated the ads found them really intrusive.

That's making me wonder now if disabling my adblock made any difference or not. Perhaps it was just a good day for them. LOL, I think I've decided, the best way forward for us all is to probably say, sod it, and just do it whichever way feels best 😁

A lot of these differences in peoples experiences with entering the mag dailies will come down to what type of computer and browser you are using and the age of you set up. My old PC always struggled with the mags and any gleam comps using FireFox. but luckily I won a MacBook Air a couple of years ago and really noticed a difference once I got a handle on Safari.

The logging out issues still persist but like Blu I have adjusted how I do them. I don't like ad blockers as they tend to slow down the browser, I use the browser pop up blocker though. The only other issue I have is occasionally very slow log ins, where the page just stops downloading. sometimes I give up and try later and it's fine.

I treated myself to a gaming pc and noticed a big difference in the speed when opening multiple tabs. I don't have any problems with adblockers slowing my browser down but any sites that don't show the forms when using an adblocker I just switch to opera browser which I keep free from adblocking software. I'm not having any problems at all with being logged out now but do have times when pages are slow loading so i just move onto the next ones and try again later.

I was lucky enough to win a macbook pro on win happy freebie friday but had the option to choose cash instead so took that option. I split the money 3 ways between us and got my pc out of my share. I prefer a pc and windows as that's what I've always been used to.

I tried using a VPN for the mags yesterday and had no problems, much faster loading of pages and no log outs.

Fing is, I also had no probs with them yesterday. I’d switched Adblock on again for them all, and got no log on errors. Was still a little slower loading than it was a few months back, but not too bad. I’m honestly starting to think that it just that it varies for no accountable reason, like Wi-Fi does.
