Mag dailies issues

I sent this to their support earlier today after a very frustrating time at 7am this morning.

"Trying to enter comps since Tuesday and Login takes a long time and frequently returns a Gateway Timeout error. When I manage to login and enter a competition the sites frequently log me out when trying to enter another comp prompting the same problems again. This is happening on all the magazine sites. Is there a Server problem - I am not the only one reporting problems with the Magazine sites there are frustrated forum posts on different sites complaining about the same issues. The consequences are that people will stop entering the comps and your advertisers will not get the clicks and visibility they expect."

I got the same reply as Englishwelshie and later this morning it seemed to be a bit better and only logged me out a couple of times across all the sites. Also seemed to be a bit faster and was able to open several magazine windows at once without any gateway errors. The ad videos are frustrating but having several Mag windows open and entering one after the other usually means the confirmation has happened by the time I get back to that mag for the next comp. 

Lets hope it has been fixed

I got through about half of them with no issues and  thought it was going well. Then basically had to login again for every other competition from there.

Not good for me today very slow and logging out, also just got 504 gateway error.  Very annoying

I contacted them about the log in error message, a couple of days ago. Got a similar reply to @EnglishWelshie's: "Thank you for making us aware of this. Our internal team have been notified of this and hopefully it should be investigated soon."

No problems for me today, I tend not to do them all in one shot now though.

got this from Site support today -

"We thank you for your patience with this!

We have recently made an update to our sites which should show improved performance of our competition pages.

If you find that this has not improved the load times of the competition pages for you, please get in touch again and let us know so that we can re-open the issue internally to investigate further."

For me this morning was a nighmare with logouts every few comps entered so I gave up. This evening everything seemed so much better not a single problem with over 100 comps entered.

Ok still got the horrible video adverts but not much we can do about them

@amsquared same here. Was horrible today. Question, when we get the log in error message, what if we all did the 'click here to report it' every time it happened, for, say...two weeks? If we did that, just maybe they would take it seriously?

@amsquared I didn't do mine until tonight and flew through them. It was such a relief but I just wish that they would stop messing with them and fix them properly.

The video adverts I have adblock+ chrome extension turned on and just click on the video then move onto the next comp whilst that one is timing down. It only takes about 5 seconds for them to submit doing it that way. I always have lots of tabs open at once and go through quite a few at once.

So, I sent them the error code every time it happened today, which was probably about 8 times. See if nagging will help.

Also, with the thing about how it keeps logging out, it seems to happen more when switching from one magazine to another. So, I have edited my bookmarked mags in alphabetical order. This means I log in for a magazine and do all those ones, then log in for the next magazine, etc. So far, it seems to work. It's a pain to sort them, but once done, it's easy to save new ones in the right place.
