Hi
I want to fix a dripping tap, so Ill need to turn the mains off. Will this affect the ASHP plumbing? All my heating (radiators etc) is controlled by the ASHP.
I think its safe to turn off the water, but thought Id check first.
Thanks

No problem; an ASHP draws no water from the mains. Somewhere there will be a valve that you can turn on to add water to the heating system but as it is a dripping tap and not a dripping radiator then you won't need to use that.Reed1

Check to see if there is an isolating valve/tap on the hot water cylinder for DHW draw-off. I used to have a valve with a big red handle on my old hot water tank. It would only shut of water entering the tank, but it was enough to fix a leaking tap. While you are fixing your tap, have a think about fitting isolation valves to the pipework under the sink (or bath) on both hot and cold feeds. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
Thanks FreeBear. Ill have a look and see if there are further isolating valves under the sink.
I do have a big red isolator valve for the ASHP stuff. I have a few actually. Ill need to go down there to see. Thanks0
