Item not received claim.

Options
Just wanted to check with more experienced eBay sellers.

Sold some bits a few weeks ago. Sent all via tracked. All show as delivered. But last week a buyer opened an item not received claim.

The item shows as delivered two days after I posted it. The coordinates on the tracking page show the right address too.

Am I correct in thinking I just let the case run?

Buyer is claiming it’s up to me to contact Royal Mail as I’m the seller.

I feel for the buyer as obviously I’d hate to not receive an item but as a seller I’m not sure what else I can do as it shows as delivered.

Hi upload the tracking to ebay once it shows delivery recorded your all good then it's down to the buyer keep your proof of postage also. You will have to wait until ebay closes it. Don't attempt to contact eBay as it's a minefield just let the bot close the case and release your funds. Check buyers feedback page left for others and received. Block them if you think it will be an issue if you're selling other items. Any negative feedback will be stopped. Just add tracking details and courier.

Thanks. I bought the postage from eBay so tracking was automatically uploaded.

The buyer only has two feedback and no feedback left for others.

Thank you for the reply though. I’ll just ignore them from here on and wait for eBay to close the case.

Don’t ignore the claim, add the tracking to the claim - it doesn’t matter that’s it’s already recorded . Then add a note addressed to eBay that item tracks to delivery . I often also then phone eBay, point out that I have proof of delivery and ask eBay to close the case in my favour.

Thank you! I’ll call eBay tomorrow then. I have added the tracking, as I bought through eBay it added automatically (I have double checked it’s there though) and it says delivered next to the item.

I haven’t ignored the claim. I checked the tracking as soon as I got the email and advised the buyer that it showed as delivered.

eBay may ask you to wait the x number of days until the "ask eBay to step in" option appears before closing the case over the phone.

They used to do it immediately but I think they wanted to cut back on people calling in and the last few times have said they can't close it (by bringing in a case expert to the call) until the option to step in appears.

If the code is present if purchased off Ebay copy it and paste it into Royal Mail tracking if it shows delivery recorded screenshot send it via messages to buyer and case opened Delivered on Time Date by Royal Mail delivery office area until it shows as below.

Thanks. I’ve done that. It showed as delivered before the buyer opened the case.

Will call eBay tomorrow and see if they’ll close in my favour.

No don't ask them the case will close in your favour just state in the case details item was delivered it's down to the buyer to respond. I just let stuff like this time out and block if need be tit fit tat you don't need. Phoning ebay you could end up with a phone jockey who may close it against you that's the minefield the bot works in your favor.

    Good point.

The case has the tracking etc. I did respond to the buyer at first, asking if they’d checked with neighbours etc but the latest message is a demand for a refund so I’ll leave it there.

Block them, and don't respond further if they purchase anything else off you just cancel it as problem with buyers address. Copy' the username add to blocked accounts and that should be the end in 14 days I think it will state the date but don't escalate it just forget it until the case closes itself. Be lucky
