Ryanair & pushchairs

We flew Ryanair to Dublin yesterday for the day, 2 adults 4 children, 12p taxes paid.
We opted for online checkin as we had no luggage Then decided to take my daughters pushchair (which is free according to ryanairs website). when you go through online checkin if you put that you have a pushchair online checkin is invalidated and you are told to use airport checkin(£2 per person for all on the booking) We decided to just turn up and say that we had changed our minds at the last minute and brought a pushchair. the checkin staff just issued us with a label and we kept the pushchair with us all the way to the airplane steps. were it was taken from us and put in the hold and it was waiting for us when we got off the plane. excellent service!

Be careful though as this does not seem to be the case across Ryanair destinations. Flew from Stansted to Nimes, no charge for buggy and car seat but when flying back everything was weighed and we incurred a charge for the items as they were over our allowance. Also on another occasion our very expensive Britax car seat was broken by the airline and as it was at the 'owners risk' nothing could be done!!
