I am currently o n bt 150mb at £40 but contract ends tomorrow. Ideally I like to stay with bt as it been reliable but the price over my 3 year contract rocketed.
Anyway I am considering going back to sky and going for the 500mb offer that ends Thursday but I don't want to use their router as I have a mesh network using netgear orbi that I have fully configured with my sky boxes.

You should be able to use your own kit. Or you could use the Sky kit and feed the output into your router.

I switched from Plusnet to Sky a couple of weeks ago, and yes you can use your own router.
The Sky router I was sent is still in the (unopened) box they sent it in.
I had to update the settings on my Asus router to work with Sky (you will need to lookup the same for your router make/model).0
